I ordered two packages of this paper to make Christmas cards. The information on Amazon AND the packaging of the paper itself both show white paper included, but neither pack I ordered contained white paper. So not only is there no white paper but there is also more black paper, which is useless to me for printing Christmas cards. The paper itself is nice enough but clearly not as advertised. The product description is very much incomplete. These flash 'cards' are actually quite large, much bigger than index cards, which is typically the size I encounter for most flashcards. I'm also turned off by how flimsy the paper is. Additionally, the flashcards are more geared toward educators or teachers in a school classroom and are less than desirable for personal use. I teach privately and have new students use flashcards to get acquainted with reading the staff. With these, however, the answer to the note name is not found on the opposite side; instead is another note-to-be-named. So, if I have a student use these for their daily private study, it is not the most efficient or useful method. On another note, these cards are a part of a whole system - meaning that you'd have to be several other sets of cards and even CDs to actually get a thorough approach (and thus have to spend a lot more money). I started purchasing these as I buzz into a lot of doors at my work on a day to day basis and I can only use either this type of product or a normal neck lanyard that is never long enough when I need to buzz in while holding computer equipment(I work in IT).

I broke the one my company gave me after a few months, just frayed and snapped the cord. This seemed like the best value as opposed to $3-6 dollar single units also sold on Amazon.

I am now on the 4th one from the first order of these that I played back on June 28th, 2008. So as you can see, they're not too bad in terms of quality.

Plastic housing and belt clip are fine, no issues with them.
The ID badge snap loop is fine too, I do not have the quality issues reported by another reviewer.

My only issue is the reason all 4 of my past retractors have failed, the cord. It's long enough, but it frays and breaks a bit too easily in my opinion. It's essentially fishing line wrapped in some sort of string sheath. What inevitably happens is the sheath frays at the end and eventually breaks. It's under tension and then shoots back into the housing. This does not completely mess up the functionality but it makes it harder to extend the cord for the first foot or so until the sheath finally pops back out.

Overall, it's a fine product if you don't trust paying similar amounts for single retractors.

The images on the cards were constantly off, and the page which allowed me to adjust the setting of how it printed did not work- Out of the 200 cards that I received- I will only be able to use about 50 of them. Every time that I tried to adjust settings it would not work. I used this product to make "save the date" magnets for my wedding. I used Microsoft Word 2007, brought up the corresponding template within Word, and stuck in the images I wanted. I printed out a "test run" on ordinary paper and then lined it up with the magnetic business card sheet to make sure they would come out right. The test run went fine, so I printed the left half of one of the magnetic sheets.

Unfortunately, each consecutive image was just a little bit more off from its respective business card than the previous one. The last magnet's image on the page ended up being about 2 millimeters too high, which meant the words at the top of it were cut off/had run over into the previous magnet, and there was a horizontal white bar at the bottom.

I suspect that this problem is the result of the magnetic sheet not being flat (the edges of each of the magnetic cards are curled up slightly), causing it to feed into the printer badly. I came to this conclusion because my test run on regular paper came out lined up right.
