Going into a tough, emotional holiday season, which was the first one my family celebrated after losing my mother, I just could not get into the groove of sending out Christmas greetings. It somehow seemed not in harmony with the subdued feeling of the holiday for all of us this year. Yet I received some gorgeous, heartfelt Christmas cards from friends and family. So I wanted to acknowledge them.
