NeatReceipts Scanalizer Professional 2.5 Mobile Scanner and Software Best Quality

I felt the descriptions of the software seemed to indicate this device could scan documents with data in columns like say a spreadsheet or old print out of contacts and create a database from it. The descriptions all said it could automatically create databases and then said it could also scan full size documents. They neglect to say however than when scanning full size documents - even easy ones with data in columns - it can't create databases.

I had several old office coworker sheets with people's names , titles and phone numbers all in columns and thought this would make short work of creating a a big database of all my former coworkers from past jobs.

It's why I bought it and it doesn't do it.

Others scanners and software will scan faster and create OCR documents but the specialty of this was supposedly the ability to automatically enter ordered info INTO A DATABASE AUTOMATICALLY from a piece of paper.

All the talk about being able to scan full size documents - well it does but it loses all the auto database ability when doing that and the descriptions of the software never said that which I felt was misleading.

And what is all the talk about a "searchable PDF File" for full sized documents? If they can make it "searchable" why can't they break out the words separately and have them go into a database based on columns like with the receipts or bizcards?

Then there was the whole part about offering a software upgrade which seemed to indicate that the upgrade WOULD at last take a full page document and load it into a database so I bought the upgrade - nope. Won't do it.

And frankly it was so slow scanning receipts I don't see how any could stand to do it unless they did one a night or something.
